Have you looked at the information about our November Conference? Early Bird Registrations close on 31st July 2012.

Please publicise this event at your Branch meetings and in your newsletters. The membership needs to be well represented.

Independent Lifestyle Program

Attention is drawn to the special offer now open to branches until the 31st March 2012 whereby branch members in groups of 10 can purchase membership in the Independent Lifestyle Program at the reduced rate of $35.00 per member. Branch Presidents have full details. Act now to take advantage of the $15.00 discount on the normal cost of the membership card.

Corporate Health Plan

The introduction of an AIR Corporate Health Plan foreshadowed for the 1st April 2012 will not be available in 2012. Difficulties were encountered during the final stages of negotiations that could not be resolved and as a consequence both parties to the proposed agreement have withdrawn from further discussions. AIR will continue to examine opportunities with other service providers with a view to establishing a corporate health plan as a service to its members.

IT VACANCIES

Webmaster/Substitute Webmaster

The integration of the Joomla Website and MySQL database has been completed along with refinements to the operating systems of both programs. MySql database will be transferred to the control of the appointed Registrar (Eddie Childs) and Substitute Registrar (John Goldrich) in mid April.

The positions of Webmaster and Substitute Webmaster are vacant and the board would like to fill these positions by appointment during April. Members with an interest/background in website management are urged to consider taking on these roles.
